To relieve stress caused by expansion and contraction within the system. This PVC deep groove "V" control joint is the most economical answer. Control joint should be placed at 144 sq. ft. (13.5 sq. meters) intervals. Removable tape keeps the "V" clean during installation. Excellent paint adhesion.
